Welcome To My Online Classroom!
A Little Bit About Me!
I grew up on a farm in the rural Greeley and Parker area. I attended grade school at Greeley Grade School, then went to Anderson County Jr./Sr. High School (Garnett, KS) for all of junior and senior high school education.
I have an older brother and sister. I am married and have two daughters. My oldest, Harley, is in 2nd grade this year and loves art and science. My youngest daughter, Bryar, is getting ready to enter Kindergarten in the 2013-2014 school year. She is super excited about that!
On our farm we have cattle, 11 llamas, 3 outside dogs, 2 inside cats, and a Fennec Fox (Dandelion aka Dandy).
College and Teaching BackGround
I attended college at Emporia State University and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in December 2001 with a concentration in Special Education. My first special education teaching position was a Central Heights in Richmond, KS. I taught there for 2.5 years. I then took time off to raise my daughters and worked for my in-laws.
This is my 4th year at Waverly Grade School. I completed my Master of Science degree in Special Education-Adaptive at Emporia State University in December 2011!
I am currently working on my Master of Science in Educational Administration degree at Emporia State University.
